Just thought I should write some words, just to let you know that amiganostalgia are being updated at the moment. Menace has started to work on the "Genuine archives", soon to be packed with lots of amiganostalgia exlusive releases!

Our diskdumping crew has finally woke up, and disks are being dumped right this moment :)

Skan / Dream Merchants is working on the new design, hopefully online when the plone system is back on track!

We promise you a much more active 2006, and we are currently working several ideas that may will go online next year.

We are happy to let you know that the restructuring of the file archive has finally begun. It's a tedious process, but at least now the file archive admin (that would be me) has a steady internet connection, and some free time on my hands. So at least there's some stuff up there to give you some idea, and more will follow.

We hope to see some of you at the Spaceballs^Boozoholics christmas bash HiH/Stabil Jul in Halden, Norway in a couple of days - december 30th! Bring beer, bring booze, bring that nostalgic attitude ;) Find us on irc or mail us for further info.

Also, on that note - I now have a stable, working email, and hopefully will never need to get another one for as long as I live. Heh. My apologies to those that have tried to reach me but failed.

Lots of things going on, just wanted to give you an update... :)

We have received and dumped our first major contribution; 1800 working floppies (and quite a few stone dead ones) were donated by Frenzy/SCC. Special thanks to our good friend Dozer for taking the time to help us out! These disks would not be online if it wasn't for him...

Sorting and viruschecking of the disk images are in progress, and will hopefully all be online before the end of the year.

Also, I am finally getting a decent line, so expect a LOT more activity here in the weeks and months to come!

A new Scenery WIP was uploaded today, look in the usual place for it. I am buzzing with motivation these days (plus, I've got no life) - so expect more in the very near future :)

Also, if you've tried to mail me lately, and haven't gotten a reply, that's due to some technical problems with the incoming mail server I'm using. I'll advise you to hold back on anything until the problem is fixed, and until then find me/us on #amiganostalgia at efnet if you need to reach us.

As you may have noticed, we have requested your personal diskcollections for dumping.
The disks are now arriving, and the dumping has begun :)
600 dumps so far, and thats just the begining.

Finally!
We are now redesigning the site, rebuilding it with the Plone system.
This means that you will get a better user interface with lots of new and improved functions. Yes, the Plone publisher will also be used in Scenery Amiga :)
With the redesign, our new filebrowser will also come public. We have now re-structured it for easier navigation to the end-users (yes, there will also be a search function).

I have uploaded a small snapshot of the work-in-progress files for Scenery v2.0, for you to sample. I am planning to keep dripping little bits of current development, so people can have a look at what's going on while waiting for the real thing. Please note that these are NEW, completely re-researched files, and as such are still only a complement to the last official scenery release.

Hi there! After some hassle with my previous address, I've now secured a new and hopefully more stable mail address. Anyone who has written to me on any of the old addresses in the last month or so and gotten no reply - I'm sorry.

As some of you knew, and many of you surely suspected, amiganostalgia.com will be the new home of scenery amiga, previously to be found as part of the Exotica site (http://exotica.fix.no). I wish to explicitly stress the fact
that the project moving to another site in no way reflects the efforts of the fine people at Exotica - it was just time to take the site 'closer to home', and try to do things on my own.

Scenery Amiga is currently undergoing a MAJOR rewrite, and the resulting version 2.00 will be released WHEN IT'S DONE. No piece of text will remain untouched for this massive update... Stay tuned ;) In a twist on something a friend told me recently; Rewriting has its advantages and its downsides. On one hand, it's greatly rewarding to see things coming together in a much
better fashion than they originally did. On the other, it's extremely frustrating to realise just how dumb some of your decisions were back then ;) When Scenery amiga 2.00 hits the streets, you'll see it here first.

In other good news; Spaceballs has recruited norwegian musician Lug00ber (who some of you may remember did the soundtrack for our Gathering 2003 demo "Dark Helmets"), as a permanent member. Welcome!

We are sad to inform you that Shade/TRSI (previously sysop of EVERYWARE and editor of Insomnia) passed away this friday, the 14th of november, from a terminal illness. Rest in peace.
